Color Infrared, Central California Coast

Posted by
Don Smith (California, United States) on 7 August 2024 in Landscape & Rural.

I got back out this morning to play with Infrared in the fog once again here in Morro Bay, California. This is a Sony a6300 camera converted to 590nm. The soft light of the fog allows for muted colors to be captured and brought out in Lightroom and Photoshop. I also Channel-swapped the Red and Blue Channels. This is called a false color look because our eyes cannot see color in this spectrum. It's a fun and creative way to photograph - especially during the summer months. Would love to hear your thoughts... Stay creative everyone!
