Full Moon Over Pinnacles NP High Peaks, California

Posted by
Don Smith (California, United States) on 1 August 2020 in Landscape & Rural.

Here is one from the archives this morning. I was on the west side of Pinnacles National Park and actually mistimed this moonrise at sunset. When it finally popped over one of the talus spires in the High Peaks, it rose behind these Grey Pines that gave it a great sense of scale. Keeps reinforcing in my mind to never give up on a shoot. Instead of getting mad, change your way of thinking - new opportunities hopefully will present themselves. 400mm + 2x + Sony a6300 - 1200mm.

SONY ILCE-6000 1/15 second F/10.0 ISO 200 1200 mm (35mm equiv.)
