Our skies have been amazing this winter thanks to the endless stream of moisture and clouds from our nearby El Nino warmed Pacific Ocean. This scene just sort of presented itself the other evening. Cirrus clouds turned pink and this wind-shaped oak and surrounding granite outcroppings became the perfect subject. I seem to have the most fun when I just go out with no preconceived ideas of what to shoot. Personally, this allows me to become more responsive and receptive to what nature is doing. Sort of a Zen moment. I'm in a state where I am feeling more than consciously thinking. Have you ever experienced this? Please feel free to share your thoughts!
