Aloha from Maui! In my latest blog The Importance of Lines and Depth I give examples of creating depth with your compositions. Our visual system allows us to see beautiful colors and three-dimensional depth; unfortunately, this doesn't easily transfer to our pictures. Understanding hyperfocal focus and paying attention to shadowing and lines are three great ways to ensure "the illusion of depth" and near-to-far sharpness in your compositions. I used all three to created this image of Horseshoe Bend last week near Page, Arizona. Camera settings are included in blog.
