Quality light is so important to me. Bland, harsh, lifeless middle-of-the-day light only causes problems, even in this day of HDR and image blending. My contention has always been: find the light and then the subject; or, find a subject and wait for the light. Either method tends to work for me though I must admit, I have the most success with the first concept – simply said: FIND THE LIGHT!
