New tutorial video on my website: HDR The Old-Fashioned Way With Don Smith

I have returned from three weeks in Europe (still trying to get readjusted to the time). I've been off the blogosphere for a bit but will get back in the swing of things now that I am back home.

Today, I loaded the new version of Nik HDR Efex Pro 2 and grabbed (5) bracketed frames from a scene I captured last November in Zion National Park of the famed Watchman and Virgin River. At sunset, especially on a relatively clear day, this is a highly contrasty scene, more than any camera sensor can render in a single frame. Thus, I turned to this new software and was amazed at the results!

To learn more about how I created this image, please read my latest blog post: Revisiting An Old Friend With New Software.
