New tutorial video on my website: HDR The Old-Fashioned Way With Don Smith

Just about a month away from the start of my Kauai Workshop June 22-26. Here is an image from one of our jaw-dropping location shoots of Kalalau Valley along the western side of the famed Na Pali Cliffs. I still have a few spots open if you would like to join Scott Schilling and me in this Island paradise adventure!

Gorgeous, Don, and your f/22 gave you a perfect sunstar!

@Judy aka L@dybug: F/22 is not an aperture I use much due to diffraction issues Judy, but I tend to let the desired results dictate my aperture and it is a conscious decision in every frame I capture.

Some of the most beautiful landscape in the world, and you did it justice. Did you fly in by helicopter or hike in to this area?

@Jeff: Just an easy hike Jeff. I agree - it is amazingly beautiful - can't wait to get back.
