New tutorial video on my website: HDR The Old-Fashioned Way With Don Smith
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A fog-shrouded evening at Big Sur's Sobranes Point and a placid sea that suddenly turned angry. The juxtaposition between calm and anger created the visual tension I was looking for. I also like adding a splash of color when photographing under mono-toned light and the headlands are alive with spring bloom and colorful ice plant.

Denny Jump Photo from Easton, PA, United States

Hi Don - I completely agree with Baldwin! This wonderful diagonal line along the cliff's edge just is fantastic. The vivid but peaceful "foregorund" and the tumultouos scene below just induces a wonderful complex of emotions. A really beautiful piece, Mr Smith
