I have posted an image from my last evening of my recently concluded Winter Big Sur Workshop. Our group was at Weston Cove located on the southern end of Point Lobos State Reserve. As we neared sunset, I wandered around the cove, where we were treated to a negative tide, and found this piece of kelp that had been deposited earlier in the day with the higher tide. It's simple S-pattern was repeated by the line formed by the rocks and led to this beautiful sky. I used a 24mm Tilt/Shift to place the focus directly on the kelp while allowing the background to drift off into softness. The scene fit the peace I was feeling that evening.
