As landscape photographers, we all strive to bring back that one unique image that captures the essence of a location. We are not simply trying to capture a literal image, but an image that can move others as the experience moved us. Many variables must coincide at a fraction of a second when the shutter is released for that reality to materialize. Oftentimes our images don't match our experience and we feel disappointed, or worse, we harbor a feeling of failure.
In my latest blog post, I take a look at this reality of capturing an image vs enjoying the moment. Each of us has to ask ourselves, What is more important. If you are interested in reading more on my thoughts, please read When Sometimes Showing Up Is Enough.
