Hey gang, I have been posting daily images and tips on my Don Smith Photography Facebook page. Navigate on over and click the like button so you can follow my daily musings!

I spent a recent evening on the golf course photographing my two sons, Rob and Aaron. Something about summer evenings here in California that produces beautiful warm skimming light. Adjacent to one of the holes was a pond where I spotted lilies and lily pads. Their warm yellows were complimentary to the rich blue of the water and made for some nice images, then this little guy (Jeremiah? According to Three Dog Night, he was a bullfrog) showed up.

My primary goal on this evening was to photograph my sons, but I have to admit, the landscape photographer in me was certainly in tune with the surroundings and the gorgeous light - magical scenes just kept presenting themselves. This in-turn got me thinking about creativity and how we can all develop and sustain our own creative juices.
