A vibrant post-sunset sky over Pt. Lobos reflects onto the foreground rocks at Carmel River State Beach in Carmel, California. I used a Singh-Ray 5-stop split neutral density filter to balance the sky and the water and rocks. The locals call this stretch Ribera Beach. This area is considered the northern starting point of the Big Sur coastline. I will be teaching two workshops along this magnificant stretch of land and sea. The first will be in March and the second in late August. I still have openings available. Please click on the Workshop tab on my homepage at http://www.donsmithphotography.com for more information.
