Bryce Canyon National Park was the last stop on our Utah journey, and what a incredibly stunning location. I shot this image from the Bryce Point lookout into an area known as the Amphitheater. These hoodoo formations have been formed over millions of years of wind, snow, rain, and erosion. This image was shot after the sun had sank low enough in the sky to allow for the canyon to fall into shadow. The sky above acted like a big softbox as indirect light illuminated the formations. Thanks to RAW capture, I was able to bring back the warmth and contrast the image needed. To see more of my images, please visit my webstie at http://www.donsmithphotography.com.
