This is just one of those simple images that is all about the light and color and not any specific subject matter. When I was first scouting this location with my firend, Mike Hall, we were looking for a spot to shoot a moonrise at sunset. The sun was too high in the sky and the foliage looked average at best - nothing caught my eye. As the sun lowered near the horizon about 50 minutes later, the warm light and low angle brought out all the hidden color in the foliage. The dirt road simply serves as a line to lead the eye through the frame. This image proves the old saying that "photography is really all about the quality of light!"
