Bridalveil Falls Wall of Color

Posted by
Don Smith (California, United States) on 23 April 2008 in Landscape & Rural.

Heavy spring snowmelt has all the major Yosemite waterfalls bursting with water. This image was made Sunday about a half-hour before sunset near the base of Bridalveil Falls. We were nearing the conclusion of an awesome workshop session. The dark wet granite served as a great backdrop to hold the rainbow of color lit by the low-angled sun. I simply used the tree limbs as graphic elements.
