Macro Cacti

Posted by
Don Smith (California, United States) on 11 April 2008 in Landscape & Rural.

This hybrid cacti has been growing in my wife's garden for over a year. Its vibrant red color continued to catch my eye every time I strolled past, so I decided to explore it with a macro lens. I used my Canon 100mm macro and a 23EF extension tube and this was the result. This catci is about 3 inches in diameter. If something continues to catch your attention, explore it - there may be a photo or there may not - but you'll never know until you try.
