Careful metering and exposure techniques are still key, but for most images, noise is minimal. Yet, there are times (such as with night photography) where we need to push our ISO's to the max. It's key to know where your camera's noise threshold resides, but beyond that, a noise reduction program will help. I use Nik Dfine 2.0 and have found that this is a very powerful noise reduction plug-in. In my latest blog, I take a look at a basic workflow using Dfine 2.0.
