Seasonal Waterfall at Big Sur

@Yonatan: Hi Yonatan, this really was a green light condition for HDR. It turned out better than I anticipated.

@jim: Hi Jim, Actually the water looked a bit darker, but thanks to a polarizer, I was able to cut some reflection and at least get a sense of the depth. The water itself was murky and remember, it was in shadow just prior to sunrise - a combination of sea and fresh water. It's a great little cove to shoot, the ocean is to my back.

@LauraS: Thanks Laura, I think we all get too caught up in horizontals. My advice to workshop participants is to get the camera off the tripod and move around, use the best framing to fit the scene, then bring the sticks back in to match your vision.

@lydia: Hi Lydia, this was actually the first time I had ever photographed this waterfall, and because it is seasonal, I can only imagine that it could grow bigger with an extended period of rain. Thanks for writing in!
