Black Point Sunrise

A sunstar burst over the mountains east of Mono Lake as seen from Black Point on the north shore on the final day of the Gary Hart Eastern Sierra Fall Workshop which I helped co-teach. The five day workshop concluded this morning and had a mix of fall color and the season's first Sierra snow storm. I am in my hotel room in Bishop, California, and did a quick HDR rendition of this image from a six-frame capture. I will be heading home tomorrow after shooting more fall color in Bishop Canyon.
