Dock Reflection

Posted by Don Smith (California, United States) on 19 August 2008 in Landscape & Rural.

I photographed this image of a boat dock reflecting into a mountain lake after the sun had set. I used a telephoto lens on my Gitzo tripod from the shore to isolate a tight section of the dock. An aperature of f/22 allowed for a 25-second timed-exposure resulting in the silky feel of the water. Very little post processing was needed for this image. As always, please feel free to visit my website at http://www.donsmithphotography.com where you will find more of my portfolios along with how-to articles, an electronic preview of my book On the Edge, and information about my upcoming 2009 Photo Workshops.
