Two purple sea daisies sit amongst throngs of yellow friends along the western bluffs of the Mendocino Headlands below the town of Mendocino, California. I found this image while prepping files for my stock agency. The sky was salmon colored due to all the smoke from the nearby Butte wildfire. The color combo is slightly acerbic which gives the shot an edge, the two lone purple daisys look so determined to be different! nice shot.

wow - such contrast in colour between foreground and background... quite amazing to see that in one place - great capture!

Hi Dark Elf,
That "contraast of color" was partly due to the wildfires burning throughout the state. Thankfully, most are now out, but they did make for colorful skies!
