A colorful bouquet of sea daisies clings to a bluff along the Mendocino Headlands. I captured this image about 45 minutes before sunset as a smoke-filled sky provided a salmon color hue. Other than a few tweaks in Adobe Camera Raw, this is how the image looked. I did use a Singh-Ray 3-stop split neutral density filter to help balance the tones between the daisies and the sky. Hi everyone,
Thanks for all your nice comments. Strangely enough, this is how the sky looked. My wife was walking the headlands as I was capturing this image. She commented how colorful, yet unearthly, the sky looked - sort of eerie!
