Miniature flowering ice plant colors the shoreline cliffs in Pacific Grove, California. This non-native plant was introduced in 1940 and now lines a quarter mile section near Lover's Point. A fogless morning allowed for early sunlight to reveal the rich pink hues of the tiny flowers which make their annual sprngtime appearance. Hi Pavla, Ivan, bruno, Ana and Mary,
Thanks for all the comments. This stretch of miniature ivy is accessible to all. There is actually a path that winds through this - lots of joggers. The key as you all know is getiing the correct light. Early morning sunshine from the east is the best, but that is rare because we are getting into our summer "fog season." There has been a mini heat wave hitting central California these last few days, so there has been no fog, and usually in the morning, there are very few people - except for the joggers!
