Creek Dogwood and El Capitan

Creek dogwood adds a splash of color to a reflection of El Capitan in the Merced River. I shot this image during a winter workshop while waiting for a sunset which unfortunately never materialized. I always look around for possibilities while waiting on location; sometimes I stumble across a nice surprise. The next time you are on location and are a bit bored, let your imagination run wild - you never know what you might find.
