Calla lilies make their annual appearance in this grove near Big Sur's Garrapata Beach along California's central coast. I used a Singh Ray 5-stop split-neutral density filter to hold back exposure on the sky and allowed for the lilies in the foreground to expose properly. I also tested a new software from Nik Multimedia called Viveza on this image. It allowed me to easily mask targeted areas of this image and apply specific levels of brightness, contrast and saturation. Garrapata?! lol I'm surprised there's a beach with this name. In the Philippines, "garapata" is what the locals call the tick.

That's beautiful. I have just found this beach couple of weeks ago for the first time, but didn't see this little flower patch. I'll have to come back.
